College of the Transfiguration, Grahamstown (CPSA)

The College of the Transfiguration (known affectionately to some as "St Fig's") is the only residential seminary serving the Church of the Province of Southern Africa.

Theological Education by Extension College (Southern Africa)

TEEC is an ecumenical theological college that operates in the distance education mode, based on the principles of theological education by extension (TEE). Its web site describes the college as:

... an ecumenical theological training college which is supported by nine member churches. It provides contextual theological education by extension (correspondence study supported by a tutorial structure and a network of Regional Centres).

Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, it has been in operation since 1976. It is the single largest provider of theological education in the region, serving learners from a wide range of churches in six countries.

TEEC celebrated its 30th anniversary in April 2006. An address on that occasion by Dr F. Ross Kinsler, pioneer of Theological Education by Extension, was featured in the May 2006 issue of the ANITEPAM Bulletin.
