The Governing Council
Victor succeeded Canon Chad Gandiya of Zimbabwe, who chaired ANITEPAM for ten years. The members appointed at the January 2006 meeting are:
The Council tries to meet annually, usually in tandem with other significant gatherings of theological educators. Day-to-day responsibilities are undertaken by the Corresponding Secretary. (Read news of the current CS's resignation here.) The newest member of the Governing Council is Fr Frazer Kachikoti, Rector of the Anglican Seminary of St John, Kitwe, Zambia and member for Central Africa. He has been ordained for about seven years. Before he became a priest he was a Lecturer in a teacher training college. He was previously a teacher, and has a BEd from the University of Zambia, a BTh from UWC, and a Certificate in Religious Studies from Cambridge. As a priest he has served as Priest-in-charge at St Barnabas, Chingola and Rector of St Michael and All Angels in Kitwe. ANITEPAM's first Corresponding Secretary, The Revd Dr Leon P. Spencer, has been Liaison Director of the ANITEPAM Partnership since 1998. Currently serving as Dean of the School of Ministry of the Diocese of North Carolina in Greensboro, Leon plays a key role in linking ANITEPAM with its friends and supporters in North America, Britain, and elsewhere.
